Philadelphia art punks Blood release follow up their recent shapeshifting single 'Money Worries' with a new track, 'Luck', from their upcoming EP Bye Bye (due out 8th July on Permanent Creeps). Originally a solo endeavour from singer Tim O'Brien, at the start of the pandemic the now 6-piece hunkered down in a shared house/practice space and began writing and recording the new EP.  'Luck' is a noisy but oddly danceable track, based around a repetitive, janky bass groove that buckles and swells as taut guitars and squeaking horns quip in and out all the while O'Brien's idiosyncratic and surreal lyrics switch seamlessly between rambling and urgency, before the whole track descends into driving noisy crescendo. - Toby Evans-Jesra
